I know two of these have already been posted, but this was originally intended to be a three-page long strip, and now that they’re all finished, I wanted to post them the way I originally intended them to be read.

In a different era, I would absolutely have made this panel my LiveJournal avatar for like a month.

There is the other Princess who is a hero: Xena the Warrior Princess. Ooh I wonder is there is a Warrior Princess shirt with Wonder Woman & Xena :D

TCAF events with Alice

While I am working on Quinntessential Comix behind the scenes I have been very active with events in the Toronto Comics Community. Last Month I organized and hosted Ladies Night at the Comic Book Lounge and I am very excited to co-host two events just before TCAF this Friday May 10th!

Magical Toronto Comic Shop Tour
Friday May 10 begins at 12pm at The Beguiling.
I’m very excited to co-host this comic hot spot tour with the Shanahanigans. If you don’t know the dynamo writer/artist brother/sister combo you have excellent stuff to check out firstly Silly Kingdom a wonderful all ages comic. As well you should tune into Katie & Shaggy’s popular live show on Google+ Thursdays @ 8pm EST “ShanahanigansLIVE” or archived on YouTube

ANYWAY This event is designed for people visiting Toronto for TCAF we are hitting up all the comic shop hot spots we could fit in an afternoon & will regale Toronto trivia and fun anecdotes along the way. Of Course if you have the afternoon off & live in the city you could join us & let us get you pumped for the TCAF weekend! I haven’t invited many people to this event because the people usually on my FB invite lists have been to all these places & live in the city so I’m inviting YOU! Yeah that’s right personal invite right there RSVP on the FB so we know who to expect. It is going to be a rather small group but a super fun time! If you are not able to make it right away we’ll be live tweeting our progress along the tour, be sure to follow us on twitter: @shaggyshan @ktshy @TheAliceQuinn

The Political Comics of Matt Bors
Friday May 10 7-10 pm @ The Comic Book Lounge & Gallery

I am delighted to co-host this event alongside Nicole Marie Guiniling of the blog Ad Astra Comix, Nicole is a talented comics researcher and we are currently collaborating on QCX Introduction Series. Nicole set up this whole event, she has an avid interest with political comics which has in turn intrigued me. When she asked if I would interview Bors live at the event I jumped at the opportunity and I’m delighted to be involved and record the interview for the QCX YouTube Channel

I’m really excited to interview Matt Bors and see the presentation he has planned for us! Bors posts political commentary in comic from a few times a week on his website mattbors.com many of which appear in The Sacramento Bee, Portland Mercury, Pittsburgh City Paper, and Daily Kos. His work has earned him many awards including being a Finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in 2012!

In my biased opinion these two events are a fantastic way to kick off your TCAF weekend! Hope to see you there :D

I love Etrigan because the character is both terrifying and hilarious, this photoset from Batman Beyond illustrates the latter

What’s that?

You want to know if I can quote this entire episode of JLU - “Double Date”?

Why, yes! Yes, I can.

I love Huntress/Question moments like this !

Currently reading: The Massive #TPB by @brianwood, Kristian Donaldson, Garry Brown and Dave Stewart. Really excellent so far, the most accurate and alarming environmental apocalypse story I’ve read.

DOOOOOOOM!

I like the detail and specifics behind the costume and visuals of a character like doctor Doom.
